History
The College of Aburaihan is the Agricultural technology college of University of Tehran that was originally established in 1952 at Pakdasht, in South East of Tehran. In 1988, the center was expanded and named College of "Aburaihan" in honor of the Iranian great scientist, Abu Raihan Al-Biruni. At present, the college admits students on undergraduate (BSc) and graduate (MSc and PhD) levels in the following disciplines as its departments:
- Agronomy and Plant Breeding Sciences,
- Horticulture ,
- Animal and Poultry Sciences,
- Plant Pathology and Entomology ,
- Irrigation and Drainage,
- Agricultural Machineries (Agro-technology)
- Food Technology (Food Machines and Equipment).
