The idea of establishing a science and technology park
The idea of establishing the Science and Technology Park of the University of Tehran in 2001 was raised and the initial steps to launch it began at that time. In the first executive step, the Technology Units Development Center started its activities in 2003 with the permission of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, and after that, the Entrepreneurship Center was added to the park complex with the approval of the university board.
With the seriousness of the park's activity in July 2005, the University of Tehran received the agreement in principle from the Ministry of Science and Technology to establish and approve the statute and organizational structure of the park and its affiliated centers, the formation of the headquarters and the inauguration of the council. Parking and acceptance and establishment of technology units took place.
Start of activity
On March 5, 2005, the group's activities were officially announced, with the main goal of helping to develop knowledge-based businesses and thus increasing Iran's economic and scientific potential by relying on the scientific potential of the University of Tehran. Among the missions of Tehran University of Science and Technology Park are to transfer and create technology, to facilitate the transfer of knowledge from university to industry; Increasing the competitiveness of the country's industries; He mentioned the promotion of the culture of innovation in the country, the development of start-ups in the field of new technology, and the provision of a suitable platform for the activities of knowledge-based businesses in the park.
The park has four centers: growth, entrepreneurship, development and evaluation, which follow the process of supporting projects until they are operational.
Fouman Faculty Incubator Center
Incubator Center of Fouman and Caspian Technical Faculties is also one of the branches of University of Tehran Incubator Center, which was signed during the Memorandum to develop park activities in support and services. Private companies and institutions with high technology and benefiting from the legal capacities of parks have officially started operating in October 2013.
