About Us

 

The Department of International Relations offers MA and PhD programs in IR. The MA program is designed for four semesters. The first three semesters are based on course work and the fourth semester is dedicated to working on a thesis.The first three semesters of the doctoral program focuses on course work. Subsequently students should prepare themselves for a comprehensive exam in the fourth semester. Students who successfully pass the comprehensive exam will begin working on their dissertation which should ideally be defended in the 7th or 8th semester.In both programs, besides compulsory courses, optional courses are offered in the fields of International Political Economy, International Law and Organizations, and International Politics and Security

   Objectives:

Scientific applicable knowledge of the international system and its developments.

Training senior researchers and scholars in the fields of Foreign Policy Analysis (FPA) and International Relations (IR).

 

Program length:

MA: Two years (four semesters)

PhD: 3.5-4 years (7-8 semesters)
